Bigfoot researcher and author Robert Leiterman is one of the few shining members of the Bluff Creek Project. Their group in the Pacific Northwest re-discovered the Patterson Gimlin film site and currently has multiple trail cams placed across the Bluff Creek area in hopes of capturing a Sasquatch. Leiterman's contribution is having a degree in Recreation Administration followed by years of experience as a Park Ranger. FOREWORD

"Encounters with Bigfoots/Sasquatches happen almost every week somewhere in North America. Children very often are the ones who encounter them. That makes sense because children spend more time outside playing and exploring nature than adults, these days. When children have encounters it can be a benign experience, but very often it is a terrifying experience. Typically children are not believed when they tell family and friends about these encounters. The harsh dismissal can leave them feeling very alone, and vulnerable and unsure about a world they need to feel comfortable in. It is difficult for any encounteree to find someone who can help them come to terms with this kind of experience. When the right person is found, he can release a lot of emotions that often become latent fears about the predictability of the world. Francis and Forrest Backer's experience and reaction to it symbolize the emotional trauma that even adult witnesses often go through. Ken well characterizes those whose knowledge of mysterious experiences help people that would find little comfort anywhere else. As a well informed guide to the bigfoot mystery, George not only heals Johnny's trauma, but also moves him toward the highest level of comfort and appreciation for nature and all of its glorious mysteries."

INTRODUCTION

While seeing many of the wild places in Northwestern California, reading about the Native American mythical legends, and hearing of the numerous eyewitness accounts of large, illusive, hairy ape-like bipedal creatures, and the strange reports of blood curdling screams, one could only sit back and wonder, what if...? 

While on a late afternoon hike, along a meandering trail through cool, misty ancient redwood forest, two teenage brothers, Francis and Forrest, stumbled upon an unsuspecting creature. While closely watching the creature, at the bottom of the canyon, they quickly discover that there is something incredibly wrong, that the creature looked too human-like. Within minutes, their tranquil scene quickly turns into one of terror. In their attempt to escape, the confusing scene, the creature detects them and their mystery begins. Francis begins a long journey to answer his many confusing questions about their incredible, bone chilling mysterious encounter in the redwoods. As they travel through the wilderness, they stumble upon overwhelming evidence and experience feelings that will change their lives forever. They will never again believe that the scientific world has all of the answers.
