Voices in the Wilderness: DNA (an excerpt from the book by Ron Morehead)

Ron Morehead is a 40 year research experienced author with interactions with what appears to possibly be a family of the mysterious Sasquatch, or "Biggie" as the author has grown accustomed to calling them. It starts off in the early 1970's with a trek up into the Sierra Nevada mountain range in California, where amazing audio recordings were made and it has turned into a much deeper, life changing journey for Ron.

DNA (Deoxyribonucleic Acid)

Today scientists are able to change animals' genetic makeup by altering the nuclear DNA in their bodies. If it can be done now in animals, could this technology have been used before on a higher level, by an advanced culture? Is it possible that Bigfoot is the result, or a remnant of that result? Many researchers think these entities are an undiscovered great ape, the missing link, and to properly expose them we need more infra-red and thermal imaging devices mounted to trees in the forest. Thus far the only parties that have profited from this are the companies that make those cameras.

As we give this very popular "ape" idea its due diligence, the Gigantopithecus blacki theory is the most popular view held. It's easy to jump onto that brain-train and accept Bigfoot as a leftover from Gigantopithecus ; it would fit better into existing paradigms. Gigantopithecus is a reportedly extinct species, the remains of which have been found in Southeast Asia. It's been suggested by some scientists that Gigantopithcus stand upright and did not become extinct; an adult would be ten to twelve foot tall. Unfortunately, no DNA from those remains has been obtainable.

What about DNA from a Bigfoot? Would it be accepted as proof, even without a body? Can established scientists actually accept something so extraordinary and out-of-the-box? Or, might they stubbornly ignore evidence that licks its chops right before their eyes.

In November of 2012, Dr. Melba Ketchum unloaded a bombshell on the scientific community. After five years of delving into over 100 organic samples coming from purported Bigfoot, she joined the prestigious group of professionals that have stuck their necks out. She, along with a few others, will go down in history. But how will she go down? Most of the time when you're the lead "DNA wagon" you will get the first arrow.

The following excerpts are from Dr. Ketchum's interview. She is the owner of DNA Diagnostics and stated the following:

"A team of eleven scientists with expertise in genetics, forensics, pathology, biochemistry and biophysics has sequenced three whole nuclear genomes from a novel, contemporary species of hominin in North America. The mitochondria] DNA was fully modern Homo sapiens sapiens indicating that the species is a hybrid cross between
modern Homo sapiens in the maternal lineage and an unknown hominin male progenitor."
                                                           - Melba Ketchum, D.V.M. and Owner, DNA Diagnostics

Dr. Ketchum went on to say that the hybrid combination of a human female and an unknown male primate first emerged some 13,000 to 15,000 years ago. Dr. Ketchum says that Sasquatch is a "type of person," an elusive distant cousin of the human race that has been living almost invisibly "under the noses of humans" for millennia as it has stuck to the most remote parts of the world - perhaps even underground for shelter -trying to avoid human populations.

Dr. Ketchum's analysis threw a curve in Gigantopithcus blackist folks, unless, of course, Gigantopithcus were fellow members of the genus Homo. The definition of "sapiens" is "to be wise." Is Bigfoot wise? Yes, the ones I dealt with were smart and seemed to figure out what we were doing, and didn't fall into any of our camera traps. We did, however, capture hours of vocalizations on cassette recorders over a period of several years.
According to Dr. Ketchum the maternal side of Bigfoot is 100% human. Perhaps we need to consider carefully the core of what the nuclear (father) side could be. Based on the factual evidence available and anecdotal data I've pulled out, which was mentioned in the previous chapter, along with my personal experiences, my brainwave of what this being may be gets freakier.

Obviously, the reader can stick with classical science and keep looking for that elusive ape running around in the woods. Or maybe entertain the biblical accounts of celestial beings (angels, as some would have it) co-mingling with humans, and at the time give a little consideration to the different mythologies that speak of unusual animals and remarkable giants.

Hopefully I've opened up a mind or two to possibilities and found a suggestive common denominator that answers some questions? Maybe entertain a thought that would test our "assumed" reality of how we've been trained to think this world really works and how humans really evolved?
