Ever since FLIR appeared on the market, it has dominated the thermal industry for Bigfooters for years. Then SEEK came out and turned your smart phone into a thermal camera for $299, but it did not have the same quality of FLIR's technology like we were all hoping for. It was a nice affordable attachment for your iPhone, but it didn't quite get the job done as one might hope you would get with a FLIR camera. A decent thermal camera that records video at 640x480 is around the $9,000 price range with FLIR. However, there is a new kid in town and it is less money than FLIR with more bang for your buck!
The LRTS-15 Handheld Long Range Thermal Surveillance Scope does not have the FLIR Scout issues that require a propriety screwdriver to replace the batteries which is a major complaint with bigfooters. It has a 6 hour rechargeable battery (2 are included).
