The Tiyanak is a Filipino urban legend that is said to take the form of a baby and lure would-be victims into the woods with it’s cry. In some versions of the legend, the person becomes helplessly lost and ends up dying from starvation but in others, the person finds the Tiyanak, only to see it shapeshift into a monster with sharp teeth, eating them alive.
In either version, the story ends with “and he was never found again.”
