Florida Paranormal Investigations reports back (Video)

If you're spooked by things that go bump in the night, Panhandle Paranormal Investigations is at your service!

In October, a downtown Panama City business owner said his employees had seen him walking down a hallway on several occasions. He says it wasn't him.

"We were able to debunk a lot of what was claims of paranormal activity," said Maegun Humphries, founder of PPI.

Humphries and her team came to investigate.

"We found a lot of high EMF readings in the main hallway," said Humphries. "For anybody that's sensitive to electrical fields, that will cause hallucinations, or if you see something out of the corner of your eye your brain's automatically gonna put it to something you recognize."

Although they made sense of that case, the next two were too spooky to explain with science.

"By far probably the most interesting we ever had," said Humphries.

First the team went to Ripley's Believe It or Not! in St. Augustine, which is in an actual castle.

"There's a lot of history to it," said Humphries. "There's a lot of deaths and murders to it. It goes back to Civil War times and things that even pre-date that. There's a lot of legend and lore.

"We had an actual display case that weighed, more than two of my investigators combined and it took the two of them to even try to move this case, something hit that case and moved it about a quarter of an inch while we're standing there."

Then they had a case in Westville that they're still investigating.

"A lot of times we don't believe it either," said Humphries. "We're not in it to prove the existence of ghosts. We're in it to prove what's going on behind the activity and that's kind of the catch 22 there. We can never really prove what's causing it, but we still keep looking."
